Heatworks has used Autodesk Revit to provide a 3D modelling along with the ability to produce pipework and ductworks layouts, sizing and pressure drop calculations.
2D and 3D drawings provide fully co-ordinated dimensional construction drawings. Along with in house quality assurance, drawings are checked and verified before installation starts.
With customised 2D mechanical and electrical symbols, and membership to BIM libraries, for 3D symbols, the Heatworks BIM/Design department ensures that drawings issued are of the highest quality. This is reflected by the coordinated services installed.
To ensure expectations are met, pre-installation concept drawings, snap shots or walkthrough can be created. This provides the client/architect with a visualisation of the proposed installation.

BIM 360 has given both design engineers and project engineers access to the latest working drawings, held on a cloud based document management system using tablets or mobile devices, the team can access the live drawings in 2D CAD, 3D Revit or PDF format.
On projects where Heatworks is the main contractor, BIM 360 has provided document management and collaboration solutions for the whole design teams.
This ensures that the client, architect, structural and M&E Consultants have all the information available from the same platform.
Heatworks also offers digital scanning of a building or existing installation for digitising. This can be reviewed and interrogated away from site, which allows site measurements to be taken or verified days after the initial survey has been carried out.
